Avatoru showed up in a brilliant way to kick off proceedings at the Air Tahiti Rangiroa Pro QS 1,000 with nonstop barrels. Kalanoweo DeSoto, Oliver Zietz, and Luke Tema answered the calling along with Tahiti’s own Enrique Ariitu finding themselves in the excellent range. Heavy upsets also ensued with Challenger Series qualification hopefuls narrowing and everything left to surf for as the Round of 16 and a potential Finals Day awaits.
